"Laughter certainly aids in healing. I saw it daily at work. A spirit of happiness, even in facing the worst of fears, brought a sense of hopefulness to the patient. The hardest thing to overcome is your fear in facing cancer. Many cannot do this, but those who can teach others to live with courage and joy are an inspiration. I cannot tell you the impact these patients had in my life while working with them. It allowed me to help my family when my mother, father and brother all were diagnosed with cancer within a 9 month period." (Linda, retired oncology physician's assistant, 3/27/12)

New Mental Health Initiative - Covid Crisis Care for Health Care Workers and First Responders

The mental health of our healthcare workers and first responders are crucial as they battle the Covid crisis for us every day on the front lines. They experience grief, work long shifts under intense pressure, feel lonely, sad and often need relief and to feel supported: . You can help. Please share your thanks with a short clip of 2 or 3 minutes maximum expressing your gratitude - and feel free to include members of your family in the clip. Humor is welcomed but not essential!

Please include links to any funny clips of musicals, series or movies that may cheer them up to view at their very short leisure time.

Please include your name.

We will contact hospital administrators with your clip and add it on our Facebook page. Clean material only. Thank you.

Another free virtual program from Rx Laughter.

2019 through 2020:

Rx Laughter has expanded our use of digital entertainment and has included streaming content and a resource center for hospitalized children and adults, developing a targeted approach of funny and uplifting clips as are available to the public. This helps the patient more easily find these vast array of clips and enjoy them as quickly and easily as possible.

We contact nurses, physicians and Administrators at hospitals in the US to offer this free service to their pediatric patients and families in isolation, infusions and critical care units.

We continue and are currently reaching out to entertainment corporations to utilize this streaming content in healthcare as has never been done before.

We have added social outreach in the form of our in-progress Rx Laughter Spirit and Soul teen volunteer program and our December 2019 program to help shelters receive items for our homeless populations by acknowledging and persuading those who can offer coats and other winter essentials for emotional and physical comfort and care.

As more programs are added, we will add them to our Wellness Projects pages.

Please Donate as our programs are free and no salaries are taken.

Have a happy, healthy New Year from Rx Laughter to each of you!
