"Cancer is a difficult illness to deal with and this makes many patients depressed. Doctors can treat cancer patients with medicine and improve their overall general condition. However, the nurses and doctors are not always fully equipped to deal with mental health. Here in Thailand, there is a lack of psychologists and psychiatrists at hospitals. In the southern part of Thailand, there is only 1 psychiatrist for 4 southern provinces. Adding Rx Laughter humor therapy will help us to explore ways that improve the mental condition of our patients. This is very beneficial to the hospital and to our patients as we find new ways to help improve their overall well-being." Tanadej Sinthusake MD, Director of the National Cancer Institute, Mahavajiralongkorn Cancer Center in Thailand.

Rx Laughter Comedy Coping Clips

The Rx Laughter charity Comedy Coping Clips at www.facebook.com/RxLCopingClips are fun, short, hopeful personal video messages about how humor helps you, sent to us from people like you of all ages & from all walks of life. We share your upbeat clip (2 to 3 minutes) with medical professionals for patients at hospitals, mental health clinics, and with anyone who needs comfort, hope and relief from physical or emotional problems from minor to major.

We distribute the clips to mental health centers and hospitals on an age-appropriate basis. These digital clips also reach youth, adults and families who are lonely, are home bound, do not have access to celebrity visits such as in small and rural hospitals, and who are in critical isolation and thus are not allowed visitors. Unlike a one-time in person visit, the "digital visit" can be enjoyed any time, anywhere.

Since we began in the summer of 2015, over 4,000 people, primarily 18 to 40, have viewed these clips at no cost.

Send us yours! Email a link to your clip to contactrxlaughter@gmail.com.and type "Coping Clips" in Subject. Clean only! We will check it out and will hopefully share it at the special page for it at www.facebook.com/RxLCopingClips.
